DVB-H Error Traces

A packet error trace is a recording of the locations of invalid or lost packets in a DVB transmission over either a simulated or a physical channel. Error traces can be used as an interface between the time-consuming physical layer simulation and application layer experiments such as transmission of video over the channel. Error traces enable the reuse of the same error characteristics data in multiple experiments.

The error traces published here are collected for use in transmission experiments within the Mobile3DTV project. The traces have been created using a Simulink model of the transmission channel. The physical transmission channel is simulated using multipath Rayleigh fading channel models with additive Gaussian noise.

Error trace set 2

DVB transmission over a Rayleigh fading channel with additive white Gaussian noise was simulated using a Simulink model of the transmission channel.
