In addition to lectures given by the invited speakers, students will have the opportunity to present their research works in a poster session. Presenting a poster is required for obtaining credits from the school. The posters can be scientific and technical with concrete results but also works-in-progress and ideas are welcome. The topic of the posters should belong to the scope of the training school. Abstracts of the posters (max. 1 page) must be submitted by 31 of July. An abstract must be submitted to the school secretary Ms Marjo Elojoki as pdf file attachment in an email with subject '3D MUX 2012 Training School Best Poster Contest'. The abstracts will be published in the Training School Proceedings "3D MUX 2012 Training School Poster Abstracts".
Three best student posters will be awarded with Nokia Smartphones. The best posters will be selected by award committee based on criteria of innovativeness, novelty, quality of oral presentation, and aesthetic design. Both the written abstract and the presentations at the poster session are evaluated. At the poster session, the first author of the poster will be given the opportunity to pitch the idea in the poster in a 2 min oral presentation. The first author of the poster in the competition has to be student in an educational institute and registered to the Training School. The prize will be given only to the first author of the poster.
